Total Recall (2012)

Director: Len Wiseman

Synopsis

Why anyone would wish to produce a remake of a film that, historically speaking, is way too recent is beyond us. But here it is… a contemporary spin said to be more truthful to Philip K Dick’s source novel than Paul Verhoeven’s Arnold Schwarzenneger version of 1990. Colin Farrell takes the Schwarzenegger role of Doug Quaid, the confused factory worker who, believing he is a spy or the victim of a failed memory implant, tries to rid the world of the corporate corrupt. Despite Arnie’s inability to act, it’s still difficult to imagine anyone else filling his shoes. ‘Underworld’ and ‘Die Hard 4.0’ director Len Wiseman takes the helm.
