Singularity (2011)
Director: Roland Joffé
Synopsis
This romantic action-adventure unites director Roland Joffé (‘The Mission’, ‘Captivity’) with actors Neve Campbell and Josh Hartnett. The decade-spanning film features an element of time travel as Hartnett’s comatose marine archaeologist appears to travel to India in 1778, where he is a captain who falls for a Marathi warrior (Bipasha Basu). Campbell portrays his wife back in 2020. Filmed in Australia and India, this is one clearly hoping for the ‘epic’ tag.
