Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days (2012)

Director: David Bowers

Synopsis

We do hope the filmmakers aren’t thinking of turning this haphazardly-assembled chronicle of a paranoid school kid into some kind of ‘Harry Potter’-esque series whereby the audience grows up with the lead character Greg Heffley (Zachary Gordon) over a period of several years. Nevertheless, to be given the green light for a third adaptation of Jeff Kinney’s very American comic-book series suggests that, in the eyes of the fans at any rate, the producers must be doing something right. Expect more hangups and mishaps in part three, which follows young Greg on his summer break.
