Synopsis

Considering his mum was loveable child star Hayley and his grandpa was the legendary John, it was perhaps only a matter of time before lank-haired, silly-named Britpop pin-up Crispian Mills dropped all that ragga-influenced sub-Zep Kula Shaker nonsense and made a beeline for the family business. ‘A Fantastic Fear of Everything’ marks Mills’s debut as a writer-director (in collaboration with another first-timer, co-helmsman  Chris Hopewell), and is being billed as a black comedy. Simon Pegg stars as a children’s author who turns to crime fiction and develops an unhealthy interest in the art of murder. The cast is rounded out largely by newcomers and TV actors, and there’s no word yet on who’s writing the soundtrack. Altogether now: ‘Govinda jaya jaya...’
