Carrey is a 'Yes Man'
The 'Number 23' star will agree to everything in an adaptation of Danny Wallace's bestseller 'Yes Man'
Jim Carrey is very much the Marmite of the film world – you either love his brand of rubber-faced humour or you hate it and want to spit it out all over the cinema screen. Aside from those dire 'Ace Ventura' flicks, I fall into the former category, so I’m happy to announce that the actor has finally signed up to a new project, taking the lead role in an adaptation of Danny Wallace’s comedy memoir 'Yes Man'.The film will be a fictional adaptation of the book, in which Wallace decided to say yes to every favour, request, suggestion and invitation that came his way. 'Down with Love' helmer Peyton Reed will dire ct the film, which is set to shoot in October.
After that Carrey will be a busy man, playing four roles in Robert Zemeckis’s performance-capture adaptation of 'A Christmas Carol', plus starring in three other comedies in the shape of 'Sober Buddies', 'I Love You Philip Morris' and the long-gestating 'Ripley's Believe it or Not'. And that’s as well as voicing the lead character in animated feature 'Horton Hears a Who'. So like him or not, prepare for Carrey overload in 2008.
