Exclusive 'Atonement' clip
See Keira Knightley and James McAvoy in action in the eagerly anticipated drama
Based on the Ian McEwan bestseller and reuniting Keira Knightley with her 'Pride & Prejudice' director Joe Wright, 'Atonement' is one of the most eagerly anticipated British films of the year.Set before and during WWII, the film stars Knightley as Cecilia Tallis, whose blossoming relationship with houskeeper’s son Robbie Turner (James McAvoy) has a devastating effect on her young sister Briony. The pair soon become the victims of Briony’s scheming imagination, and the consequences of her actions are terrible for all concerned.
The film hits UK screens next month, but before that we’ve got an exclusive sneak peak in the shape of a clip from the film. Entitled ‘Tension at the dinner table’, the scene features all three characters and comes at a dramatic turning point in the film as Briony’s anger and frustration at the love-struck couple reaches boiling point.
