Gervais and Merchant head to Hollywood
The Brit comedy superstars are dropping their anchor in Hollywood with 'The Men at the Pru'.
They made a nation swoon with their two highly acclaimed TV sitcoms, ‘The Office’ and ‘Extras’, now Stephen Merchant and Ricky Gervais are taking their golden writing partnership to Hollywood where they will pen ‘The Men at the Pru’.The film is said to be about two infantile Building Society clerks who enjoy their work, but end up having to face up to their future and grow up. It sounds to us a little like short-lived '90s John Simm vehicle, ‘Men of the World’.
Gervais is currently putting the finishing touches to his first starring role in the US film ‘The Side of the Truth’ which is a comedy set in a world where no one has ever lied which he also co-writes and directs.
