'Tropic Thunder' trailer goes live
Ben Stiller directs Tom Cruise in crazy war movie, 'Tropic Thunder'. See the trailer here
Remember a few months ago when there were worries about Owen Wilson’s mental and physical health? Every story on the subject contained the information that he was relinquishing his role in a film called ‘Tropic Thunder’, to be directed by his regular co-star and friend, Ben Stiller.Wilson didn't make the film, but the first teaser for 'Tropic Thunder' has hit the internet and it’s a very bizarre beast indeed.
'Tropic Thunder' is about a group of men (names that crop up on the cast list so far include Jack Black, Tobey Maguire, Steve Coogan and, um, Tom Cruise) who are acting in a big-budget war movie but, through a series of ‘freak occurrences’, are forced to become the soldiers they are portraying.
It’s co-written by David Lynch regular Justin Theroux (who also stars) and a fellow called Etan (sic) Coen whose other writing credits include something called ‘My Wife Is Retarded’.
Click here to have a look at the trailer , and when you do, have a look out for Robert Downey Jr who appears briefly with a black face.
