  I pretty much agree with TO on their selection. I'm pleased they're tipping "The Hurt Locker" in most categories - I thought it was one of the best movies I've ever seen. Here's my selection ...

  (Unfortunately, a win for Mo'Nique might encourage Lee Daniels to direct another tale of mind-numbing schmaltz and cliché - "I love you, Precious" - barf)

  (Realistically, probably Jeff Bridges)

  Will win: Would prefer Meryl Streep - the personification of Julia Child. Realistically, bit of a close call, so not sure.

  What will win: 'Avatar'
  (Preferred ‘Up’, but think ‘Avatar’s got the 3d edge, despite being fuzzy during fast panning or zooming. Also ‘Avatar’ - way too long - 2hrs 46m, and awful script. Nonetheless, technically very good in places.)
