Jamie Bell dons 'Jumper'

The 'Billy Elliot' star will be able to teleport in a new sci-fi flick for Doug Liman.

Apr  4 2006

Jamie Bell is going to be a busy young boy in the near future – not only is he starring in 'Hallam Foe' for David Mackenzie (click here for that story), but he's also just agreed to appear in 'Jumper' for Doug Liman ('The Bourne Identity', 'Mr & Mrs Smith').

Based on the Steven Gould novel, the story revolves around troubled youngster David Rice, who discovers he has the ability to teleport from place to place.

The power enables David to escape his problems and search for the man that he believes murdered his mother.

Tom Sturridge ('Being Julia') will play the youngster in question, while Bell has been cast as an experienced 'jumper' who shows him the ropes.
