Chadha doing 'Dallas'

The 'Bend it Like Beckham' director is set to take control of the star-studded film.

Apr  6 2006

With director Robert Luketic leaving the forthcoming big screen version of 'Dallas', it now looks like Gurinder Chadha is to take the helm.

Chadha, who directed 'Bend It Like Beckham' and 'Bride and Prejudice', is currently meeting with potential stars like Jennifer Lopez and John Travolta, and if she signs on the dotted line, production should start soon.

Luketic meanwhile is about to start work on '21', an adaptation of Ben Mezrich's brilliant 'Bringing Down the House: The Inside Story of Six MIT Students Who Took Vegas For Millions'.
