Sketch maniacs
'Parental Guidance Suggested' will be a new sketch-based sex comedy from the writers of 'Saturday Night Live'.
May 10 2006
Frankie Muniz, Jamie Kennedy and Matthew Lillard have signed up to star in new teen sex comedy 'Parental Guidance Suggested'.
Adam Jay Epstein and Andrew Jacobson, who co-wrote 'Not Another Teen Movie' will direct the sketch-based flick, which features 70 speaking roles in an assortment of risqué segments.
Muniz (TV's 'Malcolm in the Middle') will play a teenager who loses his virginity to his girlfriend, only to discover she wants to involve animals and dwarves in their love life.
Kennedy ('Three Kings') will play a young man dealing with the fall-out from a particularly hectic night of partying.
And Lillard ('Scooby-Doo') will host a spoof TV advert about teen sex.
Speaking of the project, producer Richard Suckle says: 'When I first read the script, I quoted sketches from it all the time. It drove my wife crazy. It's written by the top comedy sketch writers in the country, and I think it will work because this generation has yet to have their own 'Kentucky Fried Movie' or 'Groove Tube'.'
As a fan of both films name-checked, I'm prepared to give this one the benefit of the doubt. Just make sure that it's funnier than that other sketch-based 'comedy' 'Amazon Women on the Moon', alright boys?
