The Entity... a serial offender?

Even though the original version of The Entity was picketed by feminists - Hollywood is going for it again.

Sep 21 2004

Despite the fact that the West End screening of the original 1981 version of The Entity was picketed by a group of feminists who objected to its central idea - a woman is sexually assaulted by an invisible demon - Hollywood is going for it again.

But with Hideo's films already providing him with cult status (he directed the Japanese films Dark Water, Ringu (Ring) and Ringu 2 (Ring 2) and will now direct the US version of Ring 2), it is certainly an eagerly awaited film.

The Entity is expected to be released in 2006.
