Christ returns
'The Resurrection' should be in cinemas by Easter.
Jun 8 2006
No doubt inspired by the global success of Mel Gibson's 'The Passion of the Christ', Screen Gems are planning a screen version the resurrection.
Tentatively (and imaginatively) titled 'The Resurrection', the film will begin with Christ's death on the cross followed by his return to earth and then his ascension into heaven 40 days later.
Based on bestseller 'The Bible', Lionel Chetwynd ('The Hanoi Hilton') has written the script, and Screen Gems are optimistic that the film will be in cinemas in time for Easter.
