This Sundance Festival winner by Ira Sachs, tells the story of Laura. She's married to an old music legend, Alan, who produced black music in the '60s and '70s – the heyday of Memphis soul – and embarks on an affair with his estranged son.
In the bars and bedrooms of this changing city, a love triangle forms, illuminating the hearts and souls of these three tangled lives.
'Forty Shades of Blue' is released June 30. Thanks to Artificial Eye, we have 250 tickets for a preview on Mon June 26 at 6.40pm at the Renoir.
Send a first class SAE, marked 'Forty Shades' to Time Out Online, 251 Tottenham Court Rd, London W1T 7AB by June 20.
