Mike Leigh's latest, Vera Drake, will have its British premiere when it opens the London Film Festival at the Leicester Square Odeon on October 20. It's the second time he's made a period piece (Topsy-Turvy was his first). In it, he tells the fictional story of a working class woman (played by Imelda Staunton) in London BLA BLA BLA
