'Son of Rambow' news

Exclusive info about an exciting new film for 2007.

Jul  5 2006

Anyone who has seen the videos for Blur's 'Coffee & TV', Fatboy Slim's 'Right Here, Right Now' or REM's 'Imitation of Life' knows how visually creative Hammer & Tongs (aka director Garth Jennings and producer Nick Goldsmith) are.

Their first foray into full-length feature films, 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' was just what one would expect from the pair – a big budget, Hollywood-esque blockbuster with unique visuals and a very British sense of humour.

That's why we were so excited to get a call from the boys inviting The TOMB to their barge-based office in North London to discuss the pair's follow-up project.

Entitled 'Son of Rambow', it's a 1980s-set story of two boys trying to shoot a prequel to the Sylvester Stallone action classic in their home town.

But more than that, it's a warm, funny and thrilling coming-of-age tale about the wide eyed innocence of youth, when the word 'can't' didn't enter into your vocabulary and anything seemed possible.

So if this sounds like your cup of tea, head to our full-length feature here, and keep your eye on The TOMB for further updates to follow.
