Roth invites girls to 'Hostel 2'

Eli Roth reveals more details about his forthcoming horror sequel.

Jul  6 2006

Eli Roth is set to start production on 'Hostel 2' in September and plans to release the film in January or February 2007.

Speaking at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, the writer director said that the sequel will closely resemble the original, but with a slightly bigger budget.

'I want it to feel like the movie is going to pick up on the next cut, as if you could watch the two movies back-to-back and it would be a three-hour movie,' he said. 'There will be some new things thrown in there but it has to look and feel like that movie.'

Roth also revealed that the second film will revolve around three female characters, and unlike the original's early comic scenes, this one will be dark from start to finish.

'Hostel 2' will shoot in Prague and various locations across Europe, and as with the original, Time Out will be there to cover all the blood and guts in depth.
