Ritchie finds 'Static'

Guy Ritchie has surprised precisely no one in the film industry with the announcement that his next film will be a gangster flick.
The 'Lock, Stock' and 'Snatch' helmer will re-write and direct 'Static' for Columbia Pictures.
Based on a script by Brad Gann, the film revolves around a wrongly imprisoned gangster who must travel across town, avoiding crooked cops and rival gangs along the way, so that he can testify against the corrupt officers who put him away.
Ritchie is currently working on the script with Martin Askew, while we've got our fingers crossed that it makes more sense than his previous effort, the incomprehensible 'Revolver'.
