‘I’ll be back’ – or will I?

What with his hands full governing California, will Arnold Schwarzenegger have time to return as the indestructible cyborg?

Sep 27 2004

What with his hands full governing California and the presidential race well under way, will Arnold Schwarzenegger have time, or the inclination, to return as the indestructible cyborg in Terminator 4? And, is it now appropriate that he does?
In 1993, when campaigning to become governor, he confirmed his pro-gun control stance, and support for the introduction of tighter measures to ensure that criminals, and cyborgs from the future, do not have access to guns. Ok, so I added the bit about cyborgs but you get the idea.

According to Reuters, ‘a source close to the production acknowledged that it was unlikely that Schwazenegger would be able to star, but said that producers hoped that he could play a "minor role". As the storyline is as-yet undisclosed, we can only surmise that it may be in some kind of mentoring role to a newer model of the terminator, perhaps a mini-me. I hear that 11-year-old Richard Sandrak, who has been body building since the age of six, dreams of becoming a Hollywood action hero. I’m sure he’d do it for Schwarzenegger’s $30 million fee. Terminator 4 is due to start filming in 2005.
