Tiger Eye Firecracker Showcase returns

London's premier Asian film festival hits town tomorrow.

Sep 13 2006

The Tiger Eye Firecracker Showcase 2006 kicks off tomorrow, featuring 30 of the best new films from across Asia.

Highlights include a screening of Lu Chuan's fantastic 'Mountain Patrol' followed by a Q&A with the director, and an early screening of Bong Joon Ho's creature feature 'The Host', which caused quite a stir at last month's FrightFest.

The showcase will also feature a selection of rediscovered Asian gems, including several of Ram Gopal Varma's dark and gritty Bollywood thrillers and a series of classic flicks from the legendary Cathay Studios.

The festival runs at the Curzon Soho, Curzon Mayfair and Renoir cinemas from September 14-24. To see the festival trailer, click here, and to visit the official website, head here.
