Explore porn to win prize
The team behind 'Destricted' are running a competition to find porn-themed shorts for 'Destricted 2'.
Sep 18 2006
The makers of arthouse hit 'Destricted' are offering budding filmmakers the chance to have their work included on the forthcoming 'Destricted 2' compilation.
Revolver Entertainment and Shooting People are hosting a short film competition designed to challenge the boundaries between art and porn.
'Kids' director (and 'Destricted' contributor) Larry Clark will select the six best, which will then be screened at London's Halloween Short Film Festival in January and considered as possible candidates for 'Destricted 2'.
'Our intention with 'Destricted' was to create a platform to host a range of viewpoints, we see it as the beginning of an ongoing visual discussion,' explains co-producer Mel Agace. 'The ensuing competition presents an exciting opportunity to broaden this discussion within the independent filmmakers' community alongside 'Destricted' continuing commissions.'
The competition is only open to members of the filmmaking community Shooting People and runs until November 15. To find out more, head to the official Shooting People site here. 'Destricted' is out on DVD on September 25.
