Raging Boll

Much maligned helmer Uwe Boll will fight his fiercest critics at the weekend.

Sep 20 2006

It's Wednesday, September 20, meaning that the fight of the year – namely Uwe Boll vs a bunch of film critics – is drawing ever closer.

The director of the woeful 'House of the Dead', 'BloodRayne' and 'Alone in the Dark' recently became so annoyed at the barrage of abuse he regularly receives that he did what any mature adult would do and challenged the reviewers of the world to a fight.

On Saturday, four Boll bouts are scheduled to take place in Vancouver, with gambling site GoldenPalace.com sponsoring.

Critics from Ain't it Cool, Rue Morgue and two websites I've never heard of will have the opportunity to batter Boll in separate three-round fights.

However, while this may sound like utter lunacy, there may be method in Boll's madness as he will also be filming the brawls for inclusion in his next potential masterpiece, 'Postal'.

The chance to watch this talentless hack getting pummelled for 12 rounds could be too good an opportunity to pass up, meaning that 'Postal' could become his biggest hit yet (though obviously, it will still be dross).
