World exclusive 'History Boys' clip

We've got an exclusive excerpt from the brilliant new film based on the Alan Bennett play.

Oct  2 2006

'The History Boys' is one of the sweetest, funniest, most downright entertaining films I've seen thus far this year. Based on the all-conquering Alan Bennett play of the same name, it stars a selection of England's finest up-and-coming young actors performing a script of great intelligence and wit. But best of all is the grandstanding performance from Uncle Monty himself, Richard Griffiths, as the boys' inspirational teacher Hector.

We'll have an exclusive interview with Alan Bennett on the site tomorrow, but you can download a clip from the film here today. And not just any old clip, but a world exclusive, featuring the lads in action backed by sterling sounds from The Clash.

To download 'The History Boys' clip click here, and look out for the film in cinemas on October 13.
