The strange tale of David Lynch and the cow
Just what was the 'Mulholland Dr.' director doing with a cow, and why did Nate and Matt film it?
Nov 15 2006
Imagine cruising round town with your buddy and spotting David Lynch at the side of the road with a cow. Well Nate and Matt don't have to, as they recently stumbled across this strangely Lynchian scene, and thankfully had the smarts to film it for our viewing pleasure.
The brief film, called 'Nate and Matt meet David Lynch (and a cow)', was recently posted on YouTube by the two amateur filmmakers, and has already had nearly 30,000 hits.
It features Lynch filming an Oscar promo for forthcoming feature 'Inland Empire', in which he claims that Laura Dern's performance is the greatest of 2006. As for the presence of the cow, it's because 'cheese is made from milk'. Obviously.
'Inland Empire' should hit UK screens sometime next year, but to catch a glimpse at David Lynch being typically cool and weird right now, click here.
