Andre Benjamin goes 'Semi-Pro'
The OutKast star will play a basketballer opposite Will Ferrell and Woody Harrelson.
Dec 8 2006
The cast for the new Will Ferrell basketball flick 'Semi-Pro' is shaping up nicely, with Woody Harrelson and now Andre Benjamin joining the fray.
Based on Scot Armstrong's screenplay, the film is set in the world of 1970s basketball and follows a former NBA benchwarmer as he takes charge of his old team for one last shot at glory.
Ferrell will play the owner/player/coach, while Harrelson and Benjamin (better known as Andre 3000 from OutKast) will both play members of the team.
'Semi-Pro' tips off early next year.
