Williams heads for 'The Cottage'

'London to Brighton' writer-director Paul Andrew Williams returns to gangland for his second film.

Paul Andrew Williams made a startling debut with low-budget Brit flick 'London to Brighton' last December. A shocking story of gangsters, drug dealers and under-age prostitution, the film was a critical and commercial success, so it's good to see Williams has already lined up a second project.

'The Cottage' focuses on two brothers who kidnap an underworld figure and then stumble on a dark rural secret. Andy Serkis and Reece Shearsmith have signed up to star, with Jennifer Ellison and Steve O'Donnell lending support.

And from the sounds of it the British film industry is lending the film strong support, with the UK Film Council's Premiere Fund giving £770,000 to the project and Isle of Man Film, Screen Yorkshire and Pathe all contributing funds.
