'Frost/Nixon' gets better and better

Sam Rockwell, Matthew Macfadyen and Toby Jones join the already impressive cast of the Ron Howard flick.

May 10 2007

Sam Rockwell, Toby Jones and Matthew Macfadyen have joined the increasinly impressive cast of Ron Howard's film adaptation of stage phenomenon 'Frost/Nixon'.

Michael Sheen and Frank Langella are already reprising their award-winning stage roles as David Frost and Richard Nixon in the story of the journalist's legendary televised interviews with the former President.

And the three cast additions will also be performing roles taken directly from the play, with Rockwell playing Frost's head researcher James Reston Jr, Macfadyen portraying British journalist John Birt and, in an inspired piece of casting, the hilarious Toby Jones playing eccentric Hollywood dealmaker Swifty Lazar. With three such talented actors joining the already impressive cast, consider this one rocketing to the top of Time Out's most anticipated list.
