'28 Weeks Later' world exclusive clips

See director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo's vision of a London deserted and destroyed by 'rage'.

May 11 2007

The brilliant '28 Weeks Later' hits UK screens today, and to celebrate the film's release, we've got three world exclusive clips that feature chilling scenes of a dilapidated, deserted and all but destroyed London.

A sequel to the hugely successful '28 Days Later...', the film takes place six months after the rage virus has annihilated mainland Britain, and the first clip features young heroes Tammy and Andy entering the maximum security Green Zone on the Isle of Dogs. As they travel by train to the area, there's talk of dead bodies, disease and wild dogs roaming the surrounding area, while their guide rather ominously announces 'The US army is responsible for your safety'.

Our second clip shows the children riding a moped over an empty Tower Bridge and through an equally empty East London, jaw-dropping scenes that director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo shot stupidly early in the morning with the co-operation of local councils and the police.

And finally we have the pick of the bunch, a truly spectacular helicopter/car chase around Parliament Square, up Whitehall and into the London Underground, where things go from bad to worse for our young heroes, though to find out exactly how, you'll have to go and see the film.
