'Angus, Thongs and Full-frontal Snogging' auditions announced

Are you a girl aged between 12 and 16? If so this is your chance to star in a Hollywood film!

May 24 2007

Judging from the amount of traffic my previous post on the subject generated, it looks like the Gurinder Chadha's film version of bestselling book 'Angus, Thongs and Full-frontal Snogging' is going to be huge.

We've also had nearly 500 comments about auditions, so I'm pleased to announce that there are open casting calls all over the country in early June.

Full details can be found at the film's official casting website here, but the auditions are for girls aged between 12 and 16 and will take place in Brighton, Bristol, Oxford and London. If you aren't able to attend, there is also the facility to post your info online.

For those who haven't read Louise Rennison's book, the site describes the plot as thus: 'Angus, Thongs and Full-frontal Snogging' tells the story of 14-year-old Georgia Nicolson, a quirky girl obsessed with growing up, finding a boyfriend, and throwing the best birthday party. Her zany misadventures have dodgy results, but she learns that family and good friends are a higher priority than the perfect social life or a nose job.

The film is set to shoot in October, and for all those planning to go to the auditions, good luck.

Hi. I really love acting, but havent really had that much experience. Im not in any afterschool drama clubs, and ive never been in any plays or anything like that, but id REALLY like to be. Im the best in my drama class my teacher says, and i love acting. I just want my dream to come true. I know when im older i can always join a drama academy, but id really like to start now, so if anyone knows any auditions for ANYTHING whatsoever, please can you comment me back. I like in Edinburgh, and im thirteen. Thank you so much xx Posted on Nov 22 2009 16:25
