McTiernan helms 'High Stakes' flick
'Die Hard' director John McTiernan is set to shoot a film about a bet that goes badly wrong in Vegas.
Jun 7 2007
'Die Hard' helmer John McTiernan is set to take a gamble on Las Vegas-set action pic 'High Stakes'.
The director, who hasn't made a feature since the deeply average 2003 thriller 'Basic', will base the film on Ronnie Christensen's script about two friends who go on the run when they discover they are the living collateral of a lucrative bet.
McTiernan will shoot the film on location in Vegas as soon as he has finished work on the Patrick Wilson, Anne Hathaway-starring 'Passengers', which was also written by Christensen.
