Competition: 'The Twilight Samurai'

To celebrate the cinema release of 'When the Last Sword is Drawn' we have five copies of 'The Twilight Samurai' to give away.

Dec 13 2004

'When the Last Sword is Drawn' is the latest in a long line of Eastern epics to focus on the ancient tradition of martial arts.

A sentimental look through the eyes of a 19th century Samurai struggling to survive in civil war torn Japan, Yojiro Takita’s beautifully shot epic won best film at the Japanese film awards last year, defeating Takeshi Kitano's critically acclaimed 'Zatoichi'.

To celebrate its December 17 cinema release, Tartan are offering five copies of the similarly themed, Academy Award nominated 'The Twilight Samurai' on DVD, and one of them could be yours.

To enter, simply answer the following question:

Which film beat 'The Twilight Samurai' to win the Best Foreign Language Film at this year’s Academy Awards?

Email the answer together with your name, address and daytime phone number to competitions@timeout.com

Entries must be received by Thursday December 23.
