Danny Boyle brings us 'Sunshine'
The director is currently working on a script with Alex Garland, which should go into production sometime this summer.
Mar 30 2005
Our colleagues at Time Out Chicago recently caught up with Danny Boyle while the director was promoting his new film 'Millions' in the States, and he spilled a few beans regarding upcoming project, 'Sunshine'.
It seems that the director has spent the last few months working on the sci-fi thriller with Alex Garland, who wrote previous Boyle films 'The Beach' and '28 Days Later'.
Speaking of the plot, he explained: 'It's about a crew taking a bomb to restart a portion of the sun that has gone out. And we learn that seven years earlier another crew had tried to do the same, but all contact was lost. So it's about the mystery of what happened.'
The pair are currently still working on the script, and hope to start filming this summer for a 2006 release.
