'Night Watch' trailer hits the net

Check out the amazing first part of Timur Bekmambetov's proposed trilogy about the battle between good and evil.

Apr  8 2005

The English-language trailer for Russian epic 'Night Watch' has hit the net, and to use a footballing term, it's a belter.

The first instalment of Timur Bekmambetov's planned trilogy, 'Night Watch' tells of an ancient truce between good and evil, and the dire consequences that follow when it is broken.

And having already caught the film at an early screening, Time Out is happy to report that the spectacular trailer offers only a glimpse of the wonders on show in the movie.

A cracking story that's full of twists and turns, it's also loaded with breathtaking visual effects that will give Hollywood a run for its money when it hits US cinemas this summer.

Unfortunately, the UK release date has been pushed back to October 7 (for the moment anyway), but if you can't wait that long to get your fill of bloody Russian carnage, check out the trailer here
