Tom Hanks to star with son?
The pair are all set to unite on a comedy-drama about an unfortunate illusionist.
May 25 2005
Could the Hanks acting dynasty (well, Colin and Tom) be about to appear together on-screen for the first time?
It seems that, schedules permitting, father and son will team up on forthcoming comedy-drama 'The Great Buck Howard', a film that follows the foibles of a down-on-his-luck illusionist and his apprentice as they endeavour to rejuvenate the former's career.
Colin ('Orange County') has already been cast as the young assistant, while Kevin Kline is currently in final negotiations to star as Buck Howard himself.
Big Tom, meanwhile, will play a supporting role as Colin's on-screen father, if he can fit the film in between 'The Da Vinci Code' and Mark Romanek thriller 'A Cold Case'.
Sean McGinly is set to write and direct, with principal photography scheduled to start in September.
