'Land of the Dead' to preview at Somerset House
George A Romero's latest zombie opus will play as part of FilmFour's 'The Summer Screen' season next month.
Jul 20 2005
Somerset House is to be turned into a huge cinema next month when FilmFour brings its Summer Screen selection to the beautiful 18th-century venue.
Running from August 16-20, each evening will consist of early evening DJ sessions, copious amounts of food and drink and the best that Hollywood has to offer, blasted onto a 14m screen using a state-of-the-art projector.
And if that weren't enough, the season finishes with a special preview of George A Romero's 'Land of the Dead', screening a full four weeks before its nationwide UK release, and playing on a double bill with the equally brilliant British rom-zom-com 'Shaun of the Dead'.
The full line-up is as follows:
Tuesday 16 August
'Close Encounters of the Third Kind - Special Edition' (reviewed here)
Wednesday 17 August
'A Matter of Life and Death' (reviewed here)
Thursday 18 August
'Spirited Away' (reviewed here)
Friday 19 August
