Jim Carrey and Ben Stiller to become 'Used Guys'

The funny pair will play clones looking for a male nirvana known as 'Mantopia'.

Aug 31 2005

Jim Carrey is set to co-star with Ben Stiller in 'Used Guys', a high-concept comedy to be directed by Jay Roach ('Austin Powers', 'Meet the Parents').

The film, which will mark the first time the actors have worked together since Stiller directed Carrey in 'The Cable Guy', will be set in a world where women rule the earth and men are extinct.

According to Variety, the pair will play clones 'rendered obsolete by superior models whose enhancements include better listening and lovemaking skills. The scorned clones make a run for it, bent on regaining their dignity by searching for a male nirvana known as Mantopia'.

The film is in early development at present, but should both stars sign up for the project, 'Used Guys' is expected to go into production next spring.

Before then, Carrey will be seen in comedy remake 'Fun with Dick and Jane' while Stiller has a small role in the Tenacious D movie.
