Sienna Miller to play a corpse

The tabloid favourite will play a dead woman in the forthcoming black comedy 'Camille'.

Sep  5 2005

Sienna Miller has signed up to star in the blackest of black comedies, 'Camille', opposite Harvey Keitel.

The 'Layer Cake' star, who is currently causing a stir in Venice with a starring role opposite Heath Ledger in 'Casanova', is to play a Kentucky woman embarking on a trip to Niagara Falls with her husband-to-be in the forthcoming film.

Sounds nice, doesn't it?

Well unfortunately, all does not go according to plan, as Miller's character dies in a car crash en route and her fiancé, unperturbed, continues his journey to the romantic hot spot, the corpse beside him all the way.

As dark as comedy gets without descending into bad taste (we hope), 'Camille' will be directed by first-timer Gregory Mackenzie, and is due to start shooting early next year.
