'The Producers' trailer hits the net
Get your first glimpse at Broderick, Lane, Thurman and Ferrell in the big musical of 2005.
Sep 21 2005
The hype has already started for the big Christmas films this year – both 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe' and 'King Kong' previewed teasers earlier in the year and the new 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' trailer hit at the end of last week.
Today, however, Sony gives us our first glimpse at the title that could be the season's surprise hit, 'The Producers'.
Based on both Mel Brooks' hilarious 1967 comedy of the same name (reviewed here) and the West End show currently wowing audiences at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, 'The Producers' harks back to the musical spectaculars of the 1930s and 1940s.
As tasteless and funny as they come, the film stars Matthew Broderick, Nathan Lane, Uma Thurman and Will Ferrell, and hits UK screens on Boxing Day.
