First casting news from 'Rocky VI'

Milo Ventimiglia is replacing Sage Stallone as Rocky Balboa's son in the sporting sequel.

Nov 23 2005

We take it back – on Monday Time Out claimed that 'Rush Hour 3' was the most unnecessary sequel doing the rounds in Hollywood at the moment, but it seems there's a new contender in town today.

For having talked about a new 'Rocky' instalment for more than a decade, Sylvester Stallone's 'Rocky VI' is finally becoming a reality.

The pugilistic picture would revolve around 'Italian Stallion' Rocky Balboa coming out of retirement one last time to fight an impressive new challenger. In spite of the fact that, by our estimation, he is now 59-years-old.

'Cursed' star Milo Ventimiglia has been cast as Rocky's son in the flick (replacing Sly's own sprog Sage), while Burt Young is also expected to return as Balboa's brother-in-law Paulie.
