'Hidden' wins big at the EFAs

Michael Haneke's thriller takes home five European Film Awards.

Time Out festival favourite 'Hidden' was the big winner at the European Film Awards 2005, taking home a grand total of five awards.

The powerful thriller was named best European film, while Michael Haneke won the best director award and star Daniel Auteuil best actor.

Julia Jentsch was named best actress for her sterling work in 'Sophie Scholl', while Hany Abu-Assad and Bero Beyer won the screenwriter award for their work on 'Paradise Now'.

And in the non-European section, George Clooney's 'Good Night, and Good Luck' was named best film.
