Julia Roberts to declare war?
The 'Pretty Woman' is negotiating to star opposite Tom Hanks in forthcoming feature 'Charlie Wilson's War'.
Jan 11 2006
Julia Roberts is in talks to star in 'Charlie Wilson's War', a film about the controversial Texas congressman who oversaw the American funding of Afghani rebels in the 1980s.
Tom Hanks has already been cast in the title role, while Roberts is in negotiations to play Joanne Herring, a beautiful Texas socialite who encouraged Wilson to support the rebels.
The film, which will be based on Aaron Sorkin's script of George Crile's book, is also looking for a director, although Mike Nichols ('The Graduate', 'Closer') is the current favourite to land the gig.
Before then Roberts will be heard (but not seen) in animated children's pics 'Charlotte's Web' and 'Ant Bully'.
