'Grange Hill: The Movie'
Phil Redmond announces plans to make a film about the fictional inner city comprehensive.

'Grange Hill' creator Phil Redmond has announced plans to bring his legendary TV series to the big screen. The show, which revolves around life in an inner city comprehensive school, first started in 1978 and has run for an amazing 29 series.
In the past, 'Grange Hill' tackled serious subjects like bullying, drug addiction and teen pregnancy while at the same time making household names of characters like Danny Kendall, 'Tucker' Jenkins, Roland, Ziggy and Zammo.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Redmond said: 'I have been thinking about the idea for two years. I'm writing the script now and should be ready to start shooting in spring 2007 for an autumn release.
'I will be filming in and around Merseyside and I'll look at where some of the old characters are now and what happened to them.'

- This film will be pointless without Ziggy Greaves, he was Grange Hill after Tucker left, for a scouser to come in and run the show is just class. If it's set in Liverpool it would be foolish to leave Ziggy out. Posted on Sep 23 2007 11:07

- You are invited to see MARK SAVAGE (who played the LEGEND that is GRIPPER STEBSON in GRANGE HILL) in The Catskills - Part IV The long Arm of the Law, where is playing the role as Norman 'Gold' Blatt. The evening starts at 7:30pm and features a number of performances, each lasting no longer than 20 minutes. We are meeting at the HOBGOBLIN pub, which is at 21 Balcombe Street, LONDON, NW1 6HE from approximately 6.15pm, which is just a short walk from the Theatre and MARYLEBONE station.
