See 13 minutes of 'Lady Vengeance'

Plus put your questions to the film's brilliant director Park Chan-Wook.

Feb  7 2006

Thanks to everyone who sent in questions for 'Hostel' director Eli Roth earlier in the week. He was keeping his cards pretty close to his chest regarding future projects, but he did give a few hints, and I'll be publishing everything he said nearer the time of 'Hostel's release in March.

If you want to quiz another hotshot director, I'm off to meet Park Chan-Wook on Thursday (February 9) and would be happy to put any questions to the great man on your behalf.

If you're wondering who Chan-Wook is, a) what is wrong with you? and b) beg, steal, borrow or buy 'Joint Security Area', 'Sympathy For Mr Vengeance' and 'Oldboy' right now.

Also, make sure you catch 'Lady Vengeance', his brilliant new flick (and current TO film of the week) when it hits screens on Friday.

And if you can't wait until then, anyone who has iTunes can download a lengthy preview of the film right now. Simply click 13 minutes of 'Lady Vengeance'.

Ask him what he's up to next - is it the cyborg or the vampire movie? Posted on Feb 09 2006 12:14

A rather autistic post that, but just some stream of consciouness q's for the man. Lady Vengenace really is a stunning climax to a moving and vital trilogy.
Can't wait for that 'Hostel' article either. Posted on Feb 07 2006 17:21

Does the trilogy come from any personal demons and have they been finally purged with Lady Vengeance ?
Is man inherently irresponsible and reckless ?
How did you develop your particular editing style - typically showing an incident and bouncing back to show how/why it occured. Was it influenced by/reaction to any one person or style in particular ?
How do you feel about the proposed Mexican border reworking of JSA ? Posted on Feb 07 2006 17:18
