Craig not Bond?
A website has been created with the express purpose of getting the new 007 fired.
Feb 24 2006
Daniel Craig is a favourite here at The TOMB, and while the early word on 'Casino Royale' hasn't exactly been great, the decision to cast him as Bond has us quietly optimistic.
So imagine our shock when we stumbled across this – www.craignotbond.com – a website dedicated to having Craig fired and replaced as 007.
Apparently, they don't like Craig because he is 'a short, blond actor with the rough face of a professional boxer and a penchant for playing killers, cranks, cads and gigolos.'
It all sounds like the work of individuals with a little too much time on their hands but, whatever the case, The TOMB will be content to reserve judgement until we actually see the film at the end of the year.
For now however, if you're a Craig hater, head to the above site and sign the petition, and if you're a fan of the man, perhaps you could set up www.craigisbondsogetstuffed.com.

"You people are idiots. Don't insult the man's performance before you see it.
If I were the creator of this film, I wouldn't want a bunch of chromosome-deficient assholes watching my movie anyway. Geez. Chill, bitches." - Listen you dick performance aside... Craig doesn't look the part, he's short, ugly, very rugged looking, he's too muscular and he's blonde... he doesn't look like a british spy...he looks more like a russian assassin...he has no charm, very unsophisticated looking, no humuor...VERY FAR from the James Bond we have all come to know and love... GOD man...you have to somehow pay respect to the Bond tradition...If you think he's got talent well so does many other actors who are much better looking, taller, smarter, charismatic and looks british... you obviously have no idea what James Bond is about so SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!! and that goes to all Craig is Bond Lovers out there. Craig is a good actor but he is not Bond! Posted on Nov 07 2008 10:16 - Report as inappropriate

- Craig was great. He is exactly what the films needed. Someone tough and ruthless. I mean Bond is an assasin after all. I am a big Brosnan fan, but he couldn't have pulled off this movie. It's too bad the scripts he had to work with were terrible. Dalton was ok. Moore was a joke. Lazenby lacked charisma and then there is Sean. Still the original and best. By the way, Clive owen, just watch the BMW commercials he made and you'll know he would have sucked as Bond. Posted on Jan 10 2007 21:34

- Ohh forgot, Craig got his two front teeth knocked out in the first action scene, now is that a tough guy Bond we all know? and I agree that either Clive Owen or Hugh Jackman should be the next Bond, Craig is probably in a Psych Ward now with all the dissing, and even mocked at his own 007 conference. it is time Daniel, let it go, you didnt want it in the first place. - I just saw the movie last night, I have to say that Craig is not Bond, the movie was excellent, it was action packed, full of style, and realistic action too, but I just could not get over how they could choose Daniel Craig for Bond, I mean sure the guy has made some good movies, but the man has receding hair lines!!! just look at the scene when he is coming out of the water, I thought they were out to choose a new "younger" Bond, so perhaps Craig is a temporary one off Bond like ol' Tim Dalton, while they find a new bond, but I wont watch another Bond if they had Craig in it. - Well for all those naysayers, HE IS JAMES BOND. I'm a huge Sean fan, but he beat the freaking trousers off him and left the rest of them in the dust. Been a fan of Daniel for years and was surprised to hear him as a potential Bond, but never doubted he could do it. Posted on Nov 27 2006 04:40

- I just saw Casino Royal . Lets face it DANIEL CRAIG is no bond and he know's it. In my view BROSNAN is still bond but as he's getting old the Ideal replacement should have been Clive Owen. What were EON thinking???? Posted on Nov 21 2006 15:28

All hands in for a lengthy Craig parade. Man's breathed in the life that even Brosnan begged to see back. Cheers to all sides, production, directing, script writing, locations and casting all the way. Now the only thing I want is those IDIOTS from craignotbond to scratch MY balls before they die. Cause, CRAIG IS BOND - ALL THE WAY. (...and yes we know you're politicians from the Bush campaign)
So someone shut those ladies up!
And ladies... tuche; eat it and weep.

- Ultimately, the succes of the film will depend on how good of a story the director and the producers want to tell, and how likeable craig is to the viewing public. Posted on Nov 14 2006 23:33

- I agree, that the films have been what everyone believed Bond should be, but i've read the books, and in those, Bond is something of a hard ass. The only problem i have is that Judie Dench is playing M, not that I don't like her, but if this is supposed to be the same bond as before, then she was not running MI6 when he became a double-O. So surly, it should be a Male M. I Guess they will explain it in the movie. Good luck Dan. ps. Why is everyone saying Clive Owen, aside from his resemblance to a young Connery, he's not exactly Action Man. He didn't set the screen on fire in King Arthur. No offence. Posted on Nov 14 2006 12:07
