Dark days ahead for Spider-Man

The first 'Spider-Man 3' poster suggests that Spidey will be donning a black costume in his next film.

Feb 24 2006

The first teaser poster for 'Spider-Man 3' has hit the net, and it features Peter Parker dropping his traditional red and blue suit in favour of a slinky black number.

Fans will know that this is big news, suggesting that Venom could be the villain in the forthcoming feature as his comic book plotline revolved around a black Spidey suit that came to life.

The image, which forms the centrepiece of a Daily Bugle front page at the film's official website, features a rain-soaked webslinger with his head bowed mournfully.

To see the official pic (with a caption helpfully pointing out that it's not a black and white photo) click here.

'Spider-Man 3' is due to hit UK screens in May 2007.
