Prepare to 'Crash' again

The Oscar-winning drama will be re-released in cinemas on Friday.

Mar  7 2006

For a 'Crash'-hater like myself, it's been a rough couple of days – not only did it snatch the Best Picture Oscar from under the nose of 'Brokeback Mountain', but Pathe have just announced plans to re-release the film theatrically in the UK this weekend.

'We thought it's worth giving people the chance to see it again on the big screen' said Pathe's head of distribution Ian George. 'We will show it wherever distributors have got the space but we don't have a clue how it is going to do.'

Needless to say, unless cinemas mistakenly re-release David Cronenberg's 'Crash', The TOMB won't be at the front of the queue come Friday.
