Bourne 4 on the way

Just when we thought Jason Bourne had crushed every crooked government agency there is to crush, we hear that Paul Greengrass has signed on to direct number four in the increasingly popular Bond-a-like franchise.

Matt Damon has also agreed to step once again into the boots of America’s foremost chop-socky amnesiac, but has to finish work on two other films prior to shooting a fourth Bourne: first up is another Greengrass collaboration, an adaptation of Rajiv Chandrasekaran’s ‘Imperial Life in the Emerald City’ centring on Baghdad’s Green Zone.

The other film is Steven Soderbergh’s ‘The Informant’ where Damon plays a whistle-blower who testifies against the US government (Michael Mann’s ‘The Insider’, anyone?).

What Bourne still has left to achieve in his action-packed life remains a mystery, as by the end of his last film he had 90 per cent of CIA top brass with their metallic grey suit trousers around their ankles. Time Out predicts the fourth film will be called ‘The Bourne Incapacity’ and it will see Damon engage in a monumental row with his local benefits office who refuse to offer him back pay for the time he was suffering from amnesia.

The 4th book in the Bourne series has Jason 'retire' form spy work and become a professor at a prestigious Univ in New England - but an assasination attempt on his life brings him back into the scene to track down just who still wants him... Posted on Nov 06 2008 11:55

How about if the 4th film were called:
Bourne Again: whereby Jason has become a born again Christian, kicks down peoples doors, and forces them to become sales reps for the Christian Information Association. Posted on Oct 30 2008 10:25

It should be called Bourne Reality, and should backtrack to before he was shot and ended up in the sea. It should include his early missions, and his training& early missions killing the bad guys the CIA wanted killing, with then all chasing him (bad guys), but then also jump into the other three films. I love these films and can't wait. Posted on Oct 21 2008 14:50

The Bourne Trilogy has been great but put it to rest. However, keep the director/scriptwriter team together and come up with something totally new. Posted on Jun 13 2008 22:35

The 4th Sequel should be called "Webb is Bourne" and depict Damon being a rogue operative for the government - as now he needs a job; but now under his real name Webb. Posted on Mar 02 2008 23:57
