Farrelly brothers copy 'The Valet'
The comedy duo will direct a remake of the French hit 'La Doublure'.

The Farrelly brothers ('Dumb and Dumber', 'There's Something About Mary') are to remake the hugely successful Gallic comedy 'La Doublure', which has grossed more than $17 million since its release in France three weeks ago.
The comedy, to be renamed 'The Valet', will be directed by the brothers from a script by Allan Loeb.
The pic follows an accident-prone valet who is pictured in a photo of a fight between an Alan Sugaresque businessman and his mistress. Comedic chaos then ensues.
It won't be the first time one of writer Francis Veber's films has been made in English – 'The Birdcage' was a resounding success in 1996, while 'Father's Day' and 'Three Fugitives' were both embarrassing failures. Here's hoping that 'The Valet' will be an example of the former.
