Stiller suffers from 'Seven Day Itch'
Ben Stiller will play a horny husband in the forthcoming Farrelly brothers remake.
Apr 26 2006
Ben Stiller is to re-team with the Farrelly brothers for a remake of the hit 1972 comedy 'The Heartbreak Kid' (reviewed here).
Stiller, who previously worked with the Farrellys on global smash 'There's Something About Mary', will play the Charles Grodin role in the flick, which will be renamed 'Seven Day Itch'.
The story will revolve around Stiller's character who meets, falls in love with and marries the perfect girl, only to fall for another woman on his honeymoon.
The announcement does beg one question however – have the Farrellys lost their original touch? I only ask because 'Seven Day Itch' will be their second remake in a year following news that the brothers are set to work on an English-language version of 'La Doublure'. Come on boys – pull up your socks and give us something original!
